Bake Turner was the Colts' 12th-round draft pick in 1962. After a season on their bench, he came along to the Jets in 1963 with coach Weeb Ewbank, and was their starting split end for the next 2 seasons, making the Pro Bowl in 1963.
He also played for the Jets from 1965 to 1969, but was George Sauer's backup. However, he was Joe Namath's #1 wing man for off-field exploits.
Turner finished his career in 1970, starting 13 of his 14 games for the Boston Patriots.
Teams: Colts (1962), Jets (1963-69), Patriots (1970)
